What is Spinal Traction Therapy ?
It’s a mechanical therapy device that helps to stretch and decompress the spine to relieve pain in the cervical and lumbar spine.
Conditions for Spinal Traction Therapy:
- Degenerative disc/joint disease
- Discogenic pain
- Radicular pain e.g. Sciatica
- Radiculopathy
- Facet joint syndrome
- Disc herniation or prolapse
- Spinal joint hypomobility and muscle spasm
- Persistent neck/low-back pain
How does it work?
Spinal Traction Therapy relieves pressure on the spine and alleviates pain through mechanical distraction of the spine. By gently stretching the spine, the force and position of the spine changes which decompress the spinal discs.
Spinal discs are gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine. With the negative pressure created in the disc during spinal traction, it helps bulging or herniated disc to retract and take pressure off the irritated nerve or other pain-sensitive structures of the spine.
The Spinal Traction Therapy is also pleasant for the patient due to its comfortable setup with preset protocols, the innovative belt system, and the customisable treatment settings depending on the spinal condition.
