How quickly can I speak to a doctor?

The waiting time is usually less then 15 minutes, depending on the queue. We try our best to stick to an appointment time for our teleconsultation patients.

Can I receive an MC after a teleconsultation?

A valid Medical Certificate (MC) will be issued by the doctor if it is deemed suitable and safe for you to manage your condition at home. Please be prepared to accept that if the condition requires an examination or further information the doctor may advise you to seek an in person review. 

How long does an online MC usually last?

This varies and is completely dependent on your symptoms and the doctor’s assessment. The majority of patient’s can expect a 1-2 day MC. Anything beyond that may require an in person assessment.

Can I get medication delivered?

Yes, medication’s are delivered to your doorstep throughout Singapore within 4 hours. There is a surcharge for urgent deliveries and deliveries to Sentosa or Jurong Island.

Is teleconsultation suitable for children?

Our team is comfortable managing children via teleconsultation as long as they are above 1 year’s old.

Can I get antibiotics through teleconsult?

Only when clinically appropriate. The doctor uses scoring systems to estimate the chance of bacterial pharyngitis and prescribes antibiotics for high-likelihood cases. Most coughs and sore throats are viral and do not benefit from antibiotics.

Is COVID-19 still being treated through teleconsult?

Yes. Mild COVID-19 in an otherwise healthy adult is well-suited to teleconsult — the doctor advises isolation, symptom relief and MC duration. Severe COVID-19 (low oxygen, breathlessness) or COVID in a high-risk patient (age 60+, immunosuppression, pregnancy) needs in-person review and may qualify for antiviral treatment.
