MMR (MEASLES, MUMPS AND RUBELLA VACCINE)

Age Group:
Infants 12 months and above, Children and Adults

Indications:
M-M-R (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella Virus Vaccine Live, MSD) is a live virus vaccine for vaccination against measles (rubeola), mumps and rubella (German measles).

Doses:
Infants:
First Dose – 12 months
Second Dose – 15 months

Children:
First Dose – On elected date
Second dose – 1 month later

Adults:
One Dose. A second dose would be recommended if patient poses a high risk to measles or mumps transmission.

Side Effects:

  • Redness, swelling, a hard lump, soreness, bruising or itching around the injection sides.
  • Pain at the injection site
  • Fever, chills, sweating, dizziness, headache
  • Muscle aches and pains
  • Joint Pain
  • Loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain

    FLUARIX TETRA (FLU VACCINE)

    Age Group:
    Adult and Children above 6 months old

    Indications:
    FLUARIX TETRA is indicated for active immunisation of adults and children from 6 months of age for the prevention of influenza disease caused by the two influenza A virus subtypes and the two influenza B virus types contained in the vaccine.

    Important to note: The flu vaccine may contain egg protein and is not suitable for individuals who are allergic to it.

    Doses:
    Infants 6 months to Children less than 9 years:
    First Dose – On elected date.
    Second Dose – 1 month after the first dose

    Adults:
    One Dose

    Side Effects:

    • Redness, swelling, a hard lump, soreness, bruising or itching around the injection sides.

    First Dose – On elected date

    Second Dose – 1 month later from first dose

    Third Dose – 6 months later from second dose

    VARIVAX is indicated for vaccination against varicella in individuals 12 months of age and older.

    Doses:
    Children above 12 months:
    First Dose – On elected date
    Second Dose – 3 months from first dose

    Adolescents and Adults:
    First Dose – On elected date
    Second Dose – 4 to 8 weeks later

    Adults 50 years and above

    Indications:
    ZOSTAVAX is indicated for prevention of herpes zoster (“zoster” or shingles) and herpes zoster-related post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN) and for reduction of acute and chronic zoster-associated pain.

    Doses:

    One Dose needed

    Side Effects:

    Indications:

    • GARDASIL 9 is a vaccine indicated in females 9 through 45 years of age for the prevention of cervical, vulvar, vaginal, anal, oropharyngeal and other head and neck cancers caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) Types 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58
    • GARDASIL 9 is indicated in males 9 through 45 years of age for the prevention of anal, oropharyngeal and other head and neck cancers caused by HPV Types 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58

    Doses:

    First Dose – On elected date

    Second Dose – 2 months from the first dose

    Third Dose – 6 months from the second dose

    TETAVAX (TETANUS VACCINE)

    Age Group:
    Adults

    Indications:
    Tetanus prevention and, in particular: Post-exposure tetanus prophylaxis for recent wounds that may have been contaminated with tetanus spores in subjects who have not had any primary vaccination or for whom primary vaccination is incomplete or uncertain; Neonatal tetanus prophylaxis in non-immunised women either of childbearing age or pregnant in countries where neonatal tetanus is frequent; Primary vaccination; Booster injections.

    Doses:
    Anti infectious vaccine indicated in the prevention of tetanus.

    Indications:
    Requires 2 doses, 6 month intervals.
    Hepatitis A vaccine (Havrix) is used to prevent hepatitis A, a type of liver disease that is caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV). Hepatitis A is usually spread when a person ingests fecal matter from contact with food, drinks, or objects which have been contaminated by feces or stool of an HAV-infected person.

    Doses:
    First Dose – On elected date

    Second Dose – 6 months from first dose

    Side Effects:

    • Redness, swelling, a hard lump, soreness, bruising or itching around the injection sides.

    Infants 2 months and above

    Indications:

    • Infanrix Hexa is indicated for active immunisation in infants from the age of 2 months against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, poliomyelitis and Haemophilus influenzae type b.
    • Infanrix Hexa is also indicated as a booster dose for children who have previously been immunised with diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTP), hepatitis b, polio and Hib antigens.

    Doses:
    Infants:
    First Dose – 2 months
    Second Dose – 4 months
    Third Dose – 6 months

    Children:

    Infants 2 months and above

    Indications:

    • Infanrix-IPV+Hib is indicated for active immunisation in infants from the age of 2 months against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, poliomyelitis and Haemophilus influenzae Type B.
    • Infanrix-IPV+Hib is also indicated as a booster dose for children who have previously been immunised with diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTP), polio and Hib antigens.

    Doses:
    Infants:
    First Dose – 2 months
    Second Dose – 4 months
    Third Dose – 6 months

    Children:

    Second Dose – 1 month after the first dose.

    Third Dose – 6 months after the second dose

    Boostrix is a vaccine that’s used to help prevent diseases tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (whooping cough).

    Doses:
    One Dose after the age of 10 years if child completed childhood vaccination schedule according to NIR

    Side Effects:

    Indications:
    Prevenar 13 ®️ (Pneumococcal 13-valent Conjugate Vaccine [Diphtheria CRM 197 Protein ]) is a vaccine approved for adults 18 years of age and older for the prevention of pneumococcal pneumonia and invasive disease caused by 13 Streptococcus pneumoniae strains (1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19A, 19F, and 23F).

    Doses:
    Children above 4 months
    First Dose – 4 months of age
    Second Dose – 6 months of age
    Third Dose – 12 months of age

    Children aged 12 to 23
    months:
    First Dose – On elected date
    Second Dose – 2 months from first dose

    Adults and Children aged 2 to 17
    years:
    One Dose
