Dr Namthep Sachathep, known to patients as Dr Nam, is the Clinical Director of Ashford Medical Centre in Serangoon Gardens. He graduated in medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2011.

Before Ashford, he worked in the Accident & Emergency departments of Singapore’s restructured hospitals and in GP clinics, caring for patients with both urgent and long-term conditions.

At Ashford he sees patients for acute illnesses, chronic disease management, health screening and preventive care. He also runs the clinic’s video teleconsultation service and makes house calls when appropriate.

His approach begins with wellness: helping patients stay well, as well as treating illness when it happens. He takes time to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly, and uses current medical technology to support care.

His special interests include longevity medicine, sleep health, sports and injury care, gut and microbiome health, and holistic care.
