Fluarix Tetra (Flu Vaccine)

Age Group:
Adult and Children above 6 months old

Indications:
FLUARIX TETRA is indicated for active immunisation of adults and children from 6 months of age for the prevention of influenza disease caused by the two influenza A virus subtypes and the two influenza B virus types contained in the vaccine.

Important to note: The flu vaccine may contain egg protein and is not suitable for individuals who are allergic to it.

Doses:
Infants:
First Dose – 12 months
Second Dose – 15 months

Children:
First Dose – On elected date
Second dose – 1 month later

Adults:
One Dose. A second dose would be recommended if patient poses a high risk to measles or mumps transmission.

Side Effects:

  • Redness, swelling, a hard lump, soreness, bruising or itching around the injection sides.
  • Pain at the injection site
  • Fever, chills, sweating, dizziness, headache
  • Muscle aches and pains
  • Joint Pain
  • Loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain
  • Irritability
  • Fatigue
  • Rash

Contraindication:

  • Allergy to other vaccines or hypersensitivity to medicines or vaccines

  • For pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, please get advise from the doctors

  • Hypersensitivity to Eggs: Live measles vaccine and live mumps vaccine are produced in chick embryo cell culture. 

MMR II (Measles, Mumps and Rubella Vaccine)

Age Group:
Infants 12 months and above, Children and Adults

Indications:
M-M-R II (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella Virus Vaccine Live, MSD) is a live virus vaccine for vaccination against measles (rubeola), mumps and rubella (German measles).

Infants 6 months to Children less than 9 years:
First Dose – On elected date.
Second Dose – 1 month after the first dose

Adults:
One Dose

Adults 18 years and above

Indications:
TWINRIX® 3 is indicated for active immunization against disease caused by hepatitis A virus and 4 infection by all known subtypes of hepatitis B virus.
